WOOD CARE
Staining your Mixrack is a great way to add a personal touch while also smoothing out the grain and any minor imperfections in the wood. You can choose a finish that complements your space perfectly to make it your own.
To keep your Mixrack in great shape for the long haul, we recommend sealing it after staining. Sealing adds an extra layer of protection, preserving the wood and ensuring it stands up to regular use. Plus, a sealed Mixrack is easier to clean and maintain. Whether you stain, seal, or both, these customizations should be done before assembly to make the process fast and simple!
Staining
For a personalized touch, you can stain or dye your Mixrack to perfectly suit your space. We’re big fans of Littlefair's Interior Wood Dye! With its wide range of color options, user-friendly bottle, (labeled as) non-toxic, low-odor formula, it’s a pleasure to use. The application goes on smoother than any other stain we’ve tried, leaving a beautiful, professional-looking finish every time.
Stain Samples
Each shade pops with only one coat, as you can see from our photo. Feel free to end it there. To intensify the color, try a second coat!
Sealing
We highly recommend that you seal the wood whether you stain it or not with your favorite sealer. We like wax-free Shellac.
Here is an example of a stained Cub!
We used the color Brown Mahogany, and applied 2 coats total.
